I imagine sampling a variety of my favorite Scot’s whiskies while listening to this.
The song is built around the piano and is intended to evoke an image of pouring liquid (into a glass). The bass picks up the glass and examines it while the heady vapors of the guitar fill the nose. The drums are the heart pounding in anticipation. The solo bass intervals represent the actual consumption with the warmth passing over the palate and down the throat. And then there’s the bitter aftertaste of this pretentious description.
